Anthropologie Look On A Thrifty Budget!!!

I absolutely love Anthropologie………….I love everything about their store.  The clothes and furniture the accessories ect ……I could go there every day.  In fact I call it my happy place……….lol.  I call it that because I always feel welcome there and love the smell of the candles and all that there is to see.  They have some of the best displays that I have ever seen.  I get some many ideas from them.  Now I do a lot of shopping there but one thing that I don’t like is some of their retail prices L   Now mind you I really only shop their clearance………they do have a great sale dept and most things go on sale rather quickly.  I usually check them online or in the store weekly.  With all of that said I love it when I go thrifting and find clothing that reminds me of Anthropologie.  There are so many vintage pieces that make me think of the Anthro style…..  I guess that is because Anthropologie does a lot of work that somewhat vintage………….If you keep your eyes and mind open you can find all types of thrifted vintage items that have the “Anthropologie Look” 

This dress was a major find……….it is a vintage 80s look that has a 1940s style.  I paired it with navy tights because it was really chilly today and then added the menswear heels……in green and a green belt to cinch in the waist.    I also added one of my favorite vintage bags……..it is from the 60s.  To top it off I added a vintage trench coat for the rainy weather that we really never got.   

Fall Florals.........

I feel that just because it is fall and the temp is turning does not mean that we have to stop wearing our beautiful floral dresses.  I am so in love with this 80s version of a 1950s dress and did not want to stop wearing it because fall is here.  I paired it with one of my favorite wedge heels and as the weather changes I can’t wait to pair it with boots and a jacket!!!   I think I will use a denim jacket or maybe one of my faux or even real leather biker jackets. ……….or maybe a chunky knit sweater!!!!   The possibilities are endless………….I think fall may be my favorite season.

Vintage 80s 1930s remix............

I have always loved vintage fashion and felt that I was born at the wrong time………I love the fashions that my mother and grandmothers wore.  From the 20s to the 60s the fashion is just amazing.  I often wonder what my grandmother wore………although I have seen many pics I still would love to have known what she wore on a daily basis.  As far as my mother goes I have seen many pics of her in those days and her style was just beautiful.  I love to thrift vintage finds from those eras and also love finding vintage remakes of the earlier fashion.  

I found this vintage 80s remake of a 1930s dress and fell in love with it.  I love the black bottom and the white floral top.  It totally reminds me of pictures of my grandmother in the late 30s early 40s when she was a young women.   I paired it with my black and white Seychelles pumps from a few years ago and a vintage floral print carpet bag.  Easy fun cute look!!

Layering Time.........

Now that fall is here it is time to start layering our summer cloths to help bring them into fall weather.  I took this simple vintage floral cotton summer dress and added a vest and closed toe shoes.  If it were really cool………….which it is not yet :(   …….I would add some great tights or boots or both!    I love being able to wear my clothes year round………..you really get more for you money that way especially if you buy high end brands.
