Sometimes I just love to wear to much jewelry :)

I can not believe that it has been so long since I posted on my blog :(   Time flies so quickly at this time of the year.  I have taken so many pics of outfits but never got around to uploading any of them.........very bad of my.  I am going to try and be much better at blogging since we are in the holiday season and I will wearing all kinds of cool fun outfits.  I hope to wear a lot of vintage but plan on wearing a few new things.  

Hubby and I did some major thrifting this past weekend.  We started in our small town then moved on to the city where he works and finally ended up in the Los Angeles area,  I found some really wonderful things including this vintage white Ralph Lauren dress.   It is sheer so most would think it is not a great buy for the Fall/ Winter season but I grabbed it anyway.  I knew that all I had to do was put a slip under it, add black tights and boots and now I have a Fall/Winter outfit!!!   I piled on tons of jewelry cause I love it :0  I think the look turned out great!!!
When you are thrifting don't pass on the summer dresses because they can easily turn into cool weather wear by adding tights and a jacket or coat............

Summer to Fall OOTD

With the first day of Fall upon us I decided to show how to transition a spring/summer dress to a Fall look.  I took the amazing bright almost neon yellow vintage shirtdress.  All I did was add black textured hose, a dark belt and black heels.  By adding dark legwear to a summer dress really brings it into spring.  I could also add a dark blazer or jacket as the weather gets cooler to really give it a Fall look.  Now mind you I was only able to keep the tights on for the time it took to take the pictures because it is still way to hot during the day here to wear tights........... but I really wanted to show a summer to fall look so I dealt with if for about 15 mins.......:)

Flashback!!!!

 When I saw this dress it took me back 20 years to the 90s.  I had sooo manyof these dresses back then.  It was the early 90s and the floral dress with a denim jacket or vest was the thing to wear........I loved the long maxi dresses to cover my for thin at that time body......I think I had one in every color and every type of floral print. So when I saw it I had to pick it up..........I decided against being totally retro......and choose not to add a vest or jacket .....Instead I added a wide belt to give my waist more definition and leather wedges.  It is simple but cute and comfy......

Below is a photo of one of the actually dresses that I owned in 94......ignore how tiny I was ...even after having 3 kids........or where my hand is on my hubby's behind........lol.......

I have added the dress to the shop so it is up for grabs.
